Vitor Belfort is interested in fighting CM Punk in his retirement bout, and UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping wasted no time ripping into “The Phenom.”

UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has had a longstanding feud with Vitor Belfort, who defeated “The Count” by TKO back in 2013, during the infamous and controversial TRT era. The career paths for both men have changed drastically since then, with Bisping making a remarkable run towards his long-sought championship belt, while Vitor is currently on a three-fight losing streak.

Belfort plans to retire after his next fight, which he wants at 205 lbs as opposed to 185. The name he suggested (perhaps semi-jokingly) was none other than former WWE star CM Punk, whose MMA debut ended with a predictably lopsided loss to Mickey Gall.

Bisping addressed Vitor’s comments on his Believe You Me podcast in typical Bisping fashion: lots of profanity, and plenty of criticism of Vitor’s past PED use. (Transcription via MMA Fighting)

“This is a sign of the p-ssy that Vitor Belfort is,” Bisping said. “This is the sign of a p-ssy that takes f-cking steroids his entire career. If you take steroids, you are a f-cking p-ssy because you’re so mentally weak that you feel that you can’t go out there and fight these people on a level playing field because you’re gonna get your ass kicked. So you worry, and you look, and you look for shortcuts, and you look how you can cheat, and you think, ‘Oh I’m gonna take these steroids and they’re gonna build my muscle and make me recover better’ and all this type of stuff.

“And they do give you advantages,” He continued. “They give you physical and psychological advantages. But if you need those advantages then you are a coward, you’re a f-cking p-ssy, and you are a cheat, and the very fact that somebody would take steroids their entire career, then get their ass kicked, then call out CM Punk, I’m not surprised motherf-ckers. It’s a simple as that and that just speaks volumes to the character and the level of a man that Vitor Belfort is. I wouldn’t f-cking p-ss on him if he was on fire.”

While Vitor is seeking to fight a welterweight at light heavyweight, Bisping is fighting a career welterweight for his next title defense. I reckon that Georges St-Pierre is a slightly higher caliber of opponent than CM Punk, but that’s just me.
