Showtime Sports executive Stephen Espinoza revealed that there will be a multi-city tour ahead of the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight.

Apart from their respective social media barbs, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have not directly communicated with each other. But as soon as all plans are ironed out, people will be getting to see the two best talkers in combat sports side-by-side, before they meet inside the boxing ring on August 26th.

During his interview on Monday’s MMA Hour episode, Showtime Sports executive vice president and general manager Stephen Espinoza revealed that they are putting up a multi-city world tour to promote the fight.

“I think it would be a big miss as purely a fan to not see the two of them interacting repeatedly,” Espinoza said. “Mayweather did it, I think we ended up at ten cities in 11 days for the Canelo fight. I don’t think it will to be something like that, but I do think this is the kind of thing where people are going to want to touch it and feel it and see these two interact.”

“So I do think late June, early July, there’ll be multiple cities. Not a huge tour, but more than a couple. And I think it’ll be something that’ll be really entertaining to watch.”

As far as ticket and pay-per-view pricing goes, Espinoza promised that it will be reasonable enough, compared to the disappointment that was brought on by Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.

“I’m not sure exactly where the price will end up, but I think there’s virtually unanimous consensus that it certainly shouldn’t be more than Mayweather-Pacquiao,” Espinoza said. “Whether it should be less, you can discuss that. But, there was some conversation that people are expecting $125, $150 (per pay-per-view). We’re not gonna see anything like that.”

Mayweather vs. McGregor will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th.
