Nate Diaz says he’s going back ‘on tour’, Dustin Poirier calls him a ‘fake ass gangster’

Perhaps Dustin Poirier’s decision to pull out of UFC 230 is all part of a master plan to generate even more interest in his fight with Nate Diaz.

Poirier, 29, will no longer be fighting Diaz at UFC 230 due to a hip injury that requires stem cell injections, but there is now more even more demand to see both fighters square off inside the Octagon.

Poirier and Diaz have been going back-and-forth on social media for the past week, and Diaz kicked off round two on Friday by claiming that he’s ‘going back out on tour’ due to his disappointment that Poirier pulled out of UFC 230.

The Californian also thanked Jorge Masvidal for offering to step in as a late replacement.

Poirier fired back by calling Diaz a ‘ho’ and told the Californian to stop ‘playing games.’

‘The Diamond’ followed up by calling the younger Diaz brother a ‘fake ass gangster’ and warned him that he’s messing with a ‘real one.’

Although Diaz has threatened quasi-retirement, this latest round of tweets ensures that the UFC will be looking to re-book the fight at a later date. Poirier is expected to be fully recovered from injury in just three weeks.
