You think potheads can’t get motivated? Think again.

First, there’s been an outpouring of public support for UFC welterweight Nick Diaz since being bounced from mixed martial arts by the Nevada State Athletic Commission with a five year competition ban.

Now a fan of the Stockton slugger has started a GoFundMe campaign to help him pay the whopping $165,000 fine that accompanied the lengthy suspension.

The description on the crowdsourcing page is as uncommunicative as Diaz:

To help Nick Diaz Pay the $165,000.00 fine from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. In the event his fine is dropped or reduced the unused funds will be donated to charity.

The campaign has raised $50 in a few hours. Just $164,950 to go.

Diaz has been appreciative of the support on social media, thanking fans (and Cher) for helping his White House petition reach the 100,000 signature mark required to get an official form letter response from Barack Obama.
