Light heavyweight Nick Roehrick has been flagged for a potential anti-doping violation by USADA, according to a statement from the UFC on Thursday.
The potential violation stems from a sample collected Aug. 8, a month after Roehrick made his UFC debut on just three days’ notice against Jared Cannonier at The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale in Las Vegas, Nev.
Roehrick would go on to lose that fight by second-round TKO, his first defeat in eight professional contests.
Per its usual policy, the USADA will handle the adjudication of Roehrick’s case, including any appeal that the fighter chooses to issue in response to this failed test.
