Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title challenger Ovince Saint Preux will make his return to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 108 on April 22 from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., opposite Brazilian Marcos Rogerio de Lima, per an announcement by the promotion earlier this week.
Saint Preux, 33, has struggled since losing to Jon Jones for the interim 205-pound title back at UFC 197. The former college football star has produced a 0-2 record since that defeat, including a knockout finish at the hands of Jimi Manuwa and a split-decision loss to Octagon newcomer Volkan Oezdemir earlier this month. UFC Fight Night 108 will mark OSP’s return to Nashville after losing to Glover Teixeira via third-round submission back at UFC Fight Night 73.
De Lima, 31, has produced a 4-2 record since entering the promotion back in 2014. All six of his Octagon appearances have ended via finish, including three knockout victories at the hands of the Brazilian. This is undoubtedly de Lima’s most high-profile bout to date and a chance for him to inch his way closer to the top 15.
UFC Fight Night 108 will be headlined by a featherweight bout between veteran Cub Swanson and Straight Blast Gym’s Artem Lobov.
