Seven new bouts have been confirmed for Bellator’s return to Dublin, Ireland on Sept. 28 including a main card meeting of top European lightweights, Peter Queally vs. Ryan Scope, and a clash between two former Cage Warriors champions, Lee Chadwick and Karl Moore.
Bellator confirmed the bouts to MMA Fighting Thursday.
Queally (11-5-1) is coming off his loss to rival Myles Price in the co-main event of Bellator 217, the promotion’s last visit to the Irish capital. The SBG fighter was booked to compete on last month’s Bellator London card against former BAMMA champion Terry Brazier, but an injury forced him from the card.
Scope (11-2-0) is coming off a split decision loss in the Bellator Newcastle main event against Patricky Freire, which also marked his promotional debut. Ahead of his promotional bow, the Englishman claimed the BAMMA lightweight title with a win over Mickael Lebout at BAMMA 33.
Chadwick (25-14-1) got back into the win column in his light-heavyweight debut when he met former UFC fighter James Mulheron at Bellator Birmingham. The former Cage Warriors champion fell short in his promotional debut when he faced blue-chip prospect Fabian Edwards.
Moore (8-2-0) was once considered to be knocking on the door of a UFC contract due to his light-heavyweight championship reign with Cage Warriors, but has yet to compete since signing for Bellator last year. In his last bout, Moore suffered a first-round stoppage when he moved up in weight to challenge for Mauro Cerilli’s Cage Warriors heavyweight crown.
Bellator also confirmed a meeting between Frans Mlambo (7-4-0) and Dominique Wooding (6-2-0), as first reported by Whoa TV. Coming off his unanimous decision loss to Galore Bofando, Keith McCabe (3-4-1) is set to welcome veteran countryman Philip Mulpeter (9-6-0) to the promotional fold. Richie Smullen (4-1-1) will look to add to a win in his promotional debut when he faced fellow Irishman Sean Tobin (6-3-0). Dylan Logan (3-3-0) will face the man that Smullen defeated at the last Dublin event when he meets Adam Gustab (4-4-0). Fledgling SBG prospect Constantin Gnusariev (2-0-1) will face promotional newcomer Ian Coughlan (1-0-0)
