Just a few days after being locked away in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) house as a cast member for season 25 of the reality show dubbed “Redemption,” James Krause found himself hospitalized for 10 days.
That’s because he suffered a cut on his leg while filming the show, one that ultimately had to be treated for staph infection. And after three surgeries, James took to Instagram to reveal he’s finally be headed home and showed off the gnarly reminder of his surgeries.
Going home today! 10 days in the hospital, 3 (2.5ish) surgeries, but the infection is gone and I’m feeling better. Will be on crutches and will still have a PICC line for a couple weeks but all is improving! ♂️

Krause was pegged as the “active” UFC fighter to be on the show, and is currently riding a two-fight win streak with back-to-back victories over Daron Cruickshank and Shane Campbell.
Now on the road to recovery, fight fans can see Krause as well as the rest of the TUF 25 competitors — who were coached by Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw — when the show premieres Weds., April 19, 2017 at 10 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
