Pros react to Cris Cyborg being notified of potential USADA failure

65 0

The nightmare scenario for the UFC’s new women’s featherweight division hit the promotion on Thursday. The UFC announced that Cris Cyborg, the No. 1 ranked female 145-pound fighter in the world, has been notified of a potential anti-doping violation stemming from a Dec. 5 random drug test administered by USADA.

There is obviously much left in this story to play out, and Cyborg’s team has already stated that the culprit was a substance prescribed by a doctor to help Cyborg recover from her severe weight cut down to 140 pounds for her recent fight against Lina Lansberg. But regardless, if Cyborg is proven to be guilty in the eyes of USADA, it would mark the second drug testing failure of her fighting career. Check out reaction to the news from the rest of the UFC roster below.
