Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson open to fight with friend Tito Ortiz following Bellator 157 win

Quinton Jackson may not have finished Satoshi Ishii last night (Fri., June 24, 2016) at Bellator 157: “Dynamite 2,” but he earned his fifth-straight mixed martial arts (MMA) victory by capturing a split decision.

As one of the leading faces of Bellator MMA, especially with the recent passing of Kimbo Slice, “Rampage” will be counted on to produce scintillating action moving forward. Unfortunately, Ishii’s relentless chest-to-chest pressure didn’t allow the heavy handed veteran to uncorck his devastating power.

But that’s okay. Jackson is ready to get back into the cage and put it all on the line against a fighter he’s all too familiar with.

“‘King Mo’ wants me to fight my boy Tito [Ortiz],” said Jackson at the post-fight press conference for Bellator 157 (h/t MMA Fighting). “He must really not like Tito. King Mo told me that if I fight Tito, then he’ll fight Ishii, because I think that’ll be a good fight, King Mo vs. Ishii. Because they both fight the same. Just sayin’.”

Jackson, 38, was originally scheduled to face Ortiz back in 2013, but an injury to “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” ended that potential superfight.

“Tito, we were supposed to fight,” added Jackson. “I really didn’t want to fight him then, but it’s my job to fight. If Tito wants to fight, I think we’ll come in and put on a good show. It’ll suck to knock my friend out, but I gotta get a knockout. I gotta get a knockout. I’ve gotta knock somebody out. I’ve gotta knock somebody out.
