Anderson Silva’s return to Brazil will have to wait for another day, as “The Spider” has been forced to withdraw from his Middleweight fight against Uriah Hall, which was set to go down this weekend (Sat., May 14, 2016) at the UFC 198 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Curitiba, Brazil.

According to a statement by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), “The Spider” was forced out of the event with an illness.

However, Yahoo! Sports has more detail, as Kevin Iole got the word from Jeff Davidson, UFC’s medical consultant, that Anderson is experiencing abdominal pains and could be headed to surgery to have his hall bladder removed.

“Anderson developed abdominal discomfort [Monday and] further evaluation today is consistent with acute cholecystitis. He will be seen by a surgeon today for possible surgery.”

Bummer.

Of course, the big issue here is Silva’s health, as the 41-year old was looking to get back on the winning track against “Primetime” following his split decision loss to Michael Bisping a few months ago.
