Seven bouts have been added to the upcoming UFC 216, in Las Vegas as the Las Vegas Review Journal reported. Among them, a potential barnburner between lightweights Lando Vannata and Abel Trujillo.
Other than Vannata vs. Trujillo, the Review Journal also announced the following fights: Magomed Bibulatov vs. John Moraga, Brad Tavares vs. Thales Leites, Mark Godbeer vs. Walt Harris, Evan Dunham vs. Beneil Dariush, Will Brooks vs. Nik Lentz and Matt Schnell vs. Marco Beltran.
The flyweight bout between Matt Schnell and Marco Beltran was in fact first announced by Bloody Elbow’s own Nick Baldwin, on Twitter while the lightweight fight Evan Dunham vs. Beneil Dariush was also reported by Bloody Elbow in the beginning of July as a potential match for the event.
UFC 216 is expected to take place on October 7, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although no main events have been linked to card, a heavyweight title fight headlined by champion Stipe Miocic and former champion, Cain Velasquez was briefly linked to the card but reportedly scratched due to Miocic’s contract issues.
