Tom Breese won’t be competing in Argentina anymore. According to Combate’s report, the Britsh middleweight prospect suffered an undisclosed injury and was forced out of upcoming bout against Cezar Ferreira. However, Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series contestan Ian Heinisch agreed to replace Breese on short notice and accepted the fight.
A TUF Brazil champion, Cezar Ferreira (13-6) comes into the fight looking for his third straight win after defeating Nate Marquardt and Karl Roberson in his last couple of outings, The Brazilian’s last loss came in February 2017, when he dropped an unanimous decision to Elias Theodorou.
Ian Heinisch (11-1) got the chance to fight in the Octagon after knocking out Justin Sumter at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. When he makes his UFC debut, the 30-year-old will look his fourth straight win, after disposing of Daniel Madrid and Gabriel Checco, alongside the aforementioned Sumter. Heinisch’s last loss happened in September 2017, when he was submitted by Markus Perez.
Cezar Ferreira is expected to take on Ian Heinisch at UFC Fight Night 140, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 17. The card will be headlined by a welterweight bout between contenders Santiago Ponzinibbio and Neil Magny.
