In accordance with ONE Championship’s new regulations, which have eradicated last-minute weight cutting by dehydration, both men will need to prove that their walking weight is 225 pounds or less, the upper limit for the light heavyweight division.
Gracie (7-2) is a ten-time BJJ world champion and a UFC and Strikeforce veteran. Despite his outstanding grappling credentials, he showcased some impressive striking to stop James McSweeney with a third-round TKO on his ONE Championship debut.
Pasternak (11-0) is also coming off a successful ONE Championship debut, although he suffered a serious knee injury during his decision win over Rafael Silva and has been out of action for over a year.
Vitaly Bigdash suffered an unspecified injury in training and his middleweight title bout with fellow Russian Aleksei Butorin has been postponed.
