Edmond Tarverdyan — head trainer to Ronda Rousey — appeared in front of California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) earlier today (Feb. 2, 2016) to explain why he failed to disclose his past legal troubles when filing for a corner’s license in “The Golden State.”

A move that ultimately led to the temporary revocation of his license.

After the hearing was all said and done, CSAC suspended Tarverdyan for a period of three months and fined him $5,000. Which means he won’t be cornering Rousey — or any other fighter — for the next 90 days, according to Marc Raimondi.

Edmond was arrested in 2010 for felony identity theft and a misdemeanor resisting arrest charge. And though all charges were knocked down to misdemeanors and Tarverdyan pleaded no contest, he still had to disclose his woes when applying for a license, which he failed to do.

On the bright side, Ronda doesn’t have a fight lined up for the foreseeable future, which means she doesn’t have to look for another trainer while Edmond rides the pine.
