Ronda Rousey will return after more than a year away to challenge champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, UFC president Dana White announced Wednesday on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd.
Rousey (12-1) has been out of the public eye since a second-round knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November. It was her first career loss and a devastating one. Nunes (13-4) won the title by beating Miesha Tate by first-round submission at UFC 200 in July. That was after Tate took the belt from Holm by fifth-round submission at UFC 196 back in March. Nunes, 28, has won four in a row in the UFC, with three of those coming via finish. She trains out of the prestigious American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Fla.
