Ross Pearson vs. Dan Hooker added to UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand

Ross Pearson will be looking to bounce back from a three-fight skid later this summer.

The English UFC veteran has been scheduled to welcome Dan Hooker to the lightweight division at UFC Fight Night 110 in Auckland, New Zealand. The news was first announced by Radio Sport on Wednesday and was later confirmed by the UFC.

Pearson, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 9 lightweight tournament, is currently on a three-fight losing streak. He was 1-4 in his past five trips to the Octagon in 2016, picking up a split-decision win over Chad Laprise for his lone victory of the year. The 32-year-old fighter has been fighting in the UFC since 2009 and has a professional MMA record of 19-13 and one no-contest.

Hooker will be returning to his original weight class prior to joining the UFC. The 27-year-old Australian fighter dropped to the featherweight division when he joined the UFC back in 2014 and has since alternated between wins and losses, putting together a record of 3-3. Hooker is a former AFC lightweight champion and has a professional MMA record of 13-7.

UFC Fight Night 110 is set to take place on June 11 at the Vector Arena. Heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt are scheduled to headline the card.
