A welterweight bout between welterweight prospects “Super” Sage Northcutt and Enrique “Wasabi” Marin has been added to the UFC 200: Diaz vs. McGregor 2 fight card. UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday.
Northcutt (7-1) hopes to bounce back from his first career loss in his last outing. The 20-year-old was submitted by Cody Pfister in December and plans to get back in the win column when he faces Marin on July 9.
Marin (8-3) had a six-fight winning streak snapped in his promotional debut in November, losing a split decision to Erick Montano at UFC Fight Night 78. He’ll be looking to secure his first win inside the octagon when he faces Northcutt.
