Scott Askham has finally got the fight that he has been waiting for.
During the KSW 50: London broadcast from the SSE Arena on Saturday, the promotion announced that a catchweight bout between middleweight champion Askham and Mamed Khalidov will take pride of place on the KSW 52 card on Dec. 7 in Gliwice, Poland.
Askham (18-4-0) is undefeated since his UFC exit in 2017. After defeating Luke Barnatt at ACB 70, the English middleweight signed on the dotted line for KSW. In his promotional debut, he toppled Polish fan favorite Michal Materla with a devastating body kick. He finished his next KSW opponent, Marcin Wojcik, in a similar fashion before dispatching Materla for a second time to claim the vacant KSW middleweight title.
Khalidov (34-6-2) is former light heavyweight and middleweight champion under the KSW banner. The legendary competitor spontaneously retired following his second consecutive defeat to KSW light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun at KSW 46 last December .
