Scott Coker says Bellator: NYC pay per view will cost $49.95

Bellator president Scott Coker revealed the retail price for the Bellator: NYC pay-per-view.

We now know how much it will cost to order the Bellator: NYC pay-per-view broadcast.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Bellator president Scott Coker confirmed that the promotion’s second ever PPV will cost $49.95 to broadcast in high definition.

“The pay-per-view, just so you know, is $49.95,” Coker said. “Some providers, I think they have the ability to choose and pick [price points] and whatever, but suggested retail price is $49.95 [in HD].”

Bellator’s previous PPV, headlined by Quinton Jackson’s win over Muhammed Lawal, cost $39.95 on SD with HD pricing at $44.99.

Bellator: NYC will take place at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, June 24th. The main event will feature Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva, while Fedor Emelianenko fights Matt Mitrione in the co-main. Two title bouts are also set for this card, as welterweight champion Douglas Lima will defend his title against new signing Lorenz Larkin, while Brent Primus will challenge Michael Chandler for Chandler’s lightweight title.

Coker also said that a fifth main card fight will be announced soon, but it’s expected to be a non-title affair. He did confirm that SBG’s James Gallagher (6-0) will fight Chinzo Machida (5-2) on the Spike-televised preliminary card, which will be titled as Bellator 180.

A press conference featuring the Bellator: NYC main card fighters will take place on Tuesday, March 28th in a media only session at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 31st and start at $60.
