Four Horsewomen member Shayna Baszler is officially under the WWE umbrella. Will Ronda Rousey be next?
After her run to the finals in the Mae Young Classic, it was pretty much a given that former MMA fighter and Josh Barnett disciple Shayna Baszler was going to be offered a WWE contract. Today, they officially announced that Baszler has started at the Performance Center in Florida. Baszler took to Twitter to post the WWE’s article about it:

She is also quoted in the article, clearly in character already:
“I’m looking forward to getting out there and twisting limbs off and breaking bodies. I can’t wait.”
She will likely start out in NXT, which basically serves as the farm team for the WWE main roster. The woman she lost to in the Mae Young Classic finals, Kairi Sane, is there as well, so the two may cross paths again. But it is likely there is something else afoot, even if it hasn’t been completely set up yet.
As expected, the WWE.com article also mention the leader of the “MMA Four Horsewomen”, as it’s phrased there – Ronda Rousey. The WWE has twice played up a feud between the MMA Horsewomen – Rousey, Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir – and the WWE’s version of the Four Horsewomen (Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks). But they didn’t pull the trigger at the MYC finals.
Of course, the WWE is doing whatever it can to get Rousey into the fold and build it up. Over at TMZ, WWE executive Stephanie McMahon once again said Rousey has a standing offer to join the organization, and lightly teased wanting revenge for what happened to her at the hands of the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion at WrestleMania 31.
It seems like Rousey is going to climb into the ring again. But will it be at WrestleMania 34 in April? Or before then?
