Stephen Thompson has already signed his contract to rematch current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at the upcoming UFC 209 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is slated to go down on March 4, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The problem? Woodley has yet to ink his deal, prompting “Wonderboy” — who fought to a draw against Woodley at UFC 205 — to call out “Chosen One” via Twitter:

And during a recent stop at “The MMA Hour,” Thompson — who battled Woodley to a five-round “majority draw” at UFC 205 back in Nov. 2016 — issued a verbal challenge for the 170-pound champion to man up and do what a real champion would do: Sign on the dotted line.

“As of right now, I signed the contract,” he said. “I was given a contract weeks ago and it’s signed for weeks. We’re just waiting on his signature. We’re waiting for him to man up and do what everybody knows he should do, and he’s not doing it.

“It’s very disappointing,” he added. “To me, he’s just not acting like a champion. It was a draw — and he even said we have unfinished business — but it seems he’s calling everybody out but me. If you’re a true champion, how can you be happy with a draw? You can’t … and that just baffles me.”

Instead of signing the contract, Woodley has been promoting a puzzling bout against Middleweight champion, Michael Bisping. He’s also continued his campaign to get a “money fight” against Nick Diaz. As Thompson sees it, Woodley is calling out people he knows won’t actually fight him to either get under his skin or avoid a do-over.

“He called out Georges St-Pierre, Nick Diaz, Demian Maia and he’s even gotten to the point where he wants to go up a weight class to fight Bisping,” he said. “He’s like a boy in the room that’s looking for someone he knows is probably not going to fight him. The fans don’t want to see it, the UFC doesn’t want to see this. Calling out Nick Diaz — who hasn’t fought in years — and he’s turning his head to the one guy who will and should fight him, and that’s me.”

As far as the potential Catchweight fight against Bisping, “Wonderboy” says it’s all a publicity stunt and “The Count” is simply flattering Woodley. Nevertheless, it seems all system are a go for a rematch, but Woodley has yet to live up to his end of the bargain.
