The beef between Urijah Faber and T.J. Dillashaw is well-documented.
However, for the most part, T.J. has kept it civil, saying he doesn’t have much beef with “The California Kid,” he simply wanted to spread his wings by moving out to Colorado to join and lead Elevation Fight Team.
But when his old Team Alpha Male comrade took a jab at him by insinuating that he was on performance enhancing drugs (PEDs), T.J. says that was the point of no return; as he recently told “UFC Tonight” that he doesn’t think the old relationship can be salvaged.
“No, man. Actually, that’s kind of crossing the line. He’s already been kind of putting our friendship on blast and putting my name out there. Any time he gets the chance to discredit my name he’s doing it and this is just kind of crossing the line. Just to be able to put himself into the media eyes, to put me and Dominick Cruz on blast, and to really kind of look like a fool. I never would have seen Urijah act like this kind of character. I’ve always seen him as an easygoing, cool dude, but he’s acting like a 14-year-old high school girl wanting to create drama.”
To his credit, Faber says he never accused him of using any type of steroid, he simply stated that “Dillashaw” looked like a “pre-teen” in his last bout.
Take that as you will.
Nevertheless, it seems any chances of the former training partners reuniting on the mats once again is now long gone after Faber’s latest insult.
