UFC heavyweight prospect Tai Tuivasa did not wait too long to fire right back at his next opponent, Junior dos Santos, who made accusations of him being a coward and a street fighter. In a recent interview for the same website who spoke to ‘Cigano,’ Sporting News, the Australian athlete had a lot to say about those statements.
In Tuivasa’s opinion, JDS has no business calling him a coward, since dos Santos failed a USADA test after testing positive for the banned diuretic hydrochlorothiazide, which the former champion claimed to be due to tainted supplements.
“I was giving him credit for being a great, but he can go (expletive) himself now. Just because of what Bruce Buffer said? As if I’m gonna say I’m a black belt or something. Calling someone a coward is a bit shallow from a steroid injecting little muppet like that.”
Furthermore, Tuivasa also posted a video of him laughing at Junior dos Santos claims on his own Instagram page.
Dos Santos received as reduced six-month USADA suspension after it was found that he had indeed taken tainted supplements.
Junior dos Santos is expected to take on Tai Tuivasa at UFC Fight Night 142’s main event, on December 1, in Adelaide, Australia.
