- UFC 224 preview — In the pay-per-view main event, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes defends her title against Raquel Pennington. Ronaldo Souza meets Kelvin Gastelum in a pivotal middleweight bout in the co-headliner. Plus, 185-pound legends Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida collide on the main card.
- UFC-ESPN media rights deal — On Monday, the UFC announced a media rights deal with ESPN. Effective January 2019, 15 UFC events will be featured on ESPN+, the company’s streaming service.
- Georges St-Pierre vs. Nate Diaz? — Following reports, UFC president Dana White said Monday that a lightweight bout between former middleweight and welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre and Nate Diaz could happen this August at UFC 227.
- Bellator 199 preview — In the main event, Ryan Bader faces Muhammed Lawal in the last opening-round bout of the Bellator heavyweight Grand Prix tournament. Jon Fitch makes his promotional debut against Paul Daley in the co-feature. The card also features the return of top prospect Aaron Pico.
