UFC veteran Thiago Alves never felt as healthy as now, and he believes he’ll become a champion.
13-year UFC fighter Thiago Alves still believes his best has yet to come.
As he recently told Portal do Vale Tudo, the former welterweight title challenger feels as healthy as ever in 2018 and wants fight three times this year, plus his title aspirations are still very much alive.
“I’m 100%, I never felt this good, I’m super ready and I’m going to go after those guys and I won’t stop until I fulfill my goal, which is to become champion,” Alves said. “One fight at a time. I have one battle coming up this Sunday, then I’ll go after my next victim. It’s going to be at least three fights and three wins this year.
“I’m still going to be a f—king champion. You better believe it. This is my year, I’ll have three or four fights and I’ll be in the mix. I never felt this good and I’m going after it.”
Thiago Alves was supposed to take on Zak Cummings at UFC Fight Night 124, in St. Louis, Missouri, but Cummings suffered an injury on Friday and has since been pulled from the event. Alves has since been removed from the fight card.
