Tim Kennedy is returning to the Octagon… and it’s going to be big. Take his word for it.

Kennedy hasn’t fought in nearly two years. As he says, fighting is a hobby for him, and he has been off pursuing other endeavors, such as filming a TV series called “Hunting Hitler” and starting Sheepdog Response Training, a real-world self-defense program.

He last stepped into the Octagon against Yoel Romero, losing via TKO stoppage following a controversial delay between the second and third rounds.

“I have a fight. I can’t tell you anything about it. The UFC has to announce it,” Kennedy said in a video post to his Facebook page on Friday.

“It’s going to be big,” he continued. “Hopefully, this will say, Michael Bisping is the champ, if he beats Dan Henderson, he has no choice but to defend his title against me. I was the last guy to beat the breaks off of him.”

“After this fight, you can’t say that I shouldn’t be the champion.”

Although it has yet to be officially announced, Bisping and Henderson are expected to square off in the UFC 204 main event. Vitor Belfort vs. Gegard Mousasi is also believed to be slated for UFC 204.

That still leaves a few viable options. Luke Rockhold, Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva, and Yoel Romero are all currently without fights scheduled, but Kennedy, as he stated, couldn’t do any name dropping for this one.

It’s that big.
