Tito Ortiz vs. Fedor Emelianenko? Sure, why not.
The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion confirmed that Bellator approached him with the prospect of fighting former PRIDE FC heavyweight kingpin Fedor Emelianenko. While the idea has merit, the UFC Hall of Famer is not interested in changing weight classes.
Simply put, the “Last Emperor” — who became bosom buddies with Bellator President Scott Coker under the Strikeforce banner — needs to make 205 pounds, or there is no fight.
That said, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” (18-12-1) is also willing to throw down with former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson, who appears to be content with his new diet (or lack thereof). Ortiz hasn’t been seen since a submission loss to Liam McGeary at Bellator 142 roughly one year ago.
Who do you, as a fan, want to see Ortiz fight in his final bout in mixed martial arts (MMA)?
