Last fall, former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw made the decision to leave his long-time training camp at Team Alpha Male. The departure created a seemingly unrepairable rift between Dillashaw and team founder Urijah Faber.
There was a time when the two were adamant that they did not want to fight each other, but after Dillashaw moved to the Colorado-based Elevation Fight Team, Faber’s vitriol towards him has only continued to intensify.
Faber’s latest insinuations may have been a bridge too far, as he has hinted at the idea that Dillashaw may have used performance-enhancing substances in the past.

“That’s kind of crossing the line,” Dillashaw said on UFC Tonight on Wednesday. “He’s already been kind of putting our friendship on blast, and kind putting my name out there. Anytime he gets a chance to discredit my name, he’s doing it.”
Even when Faber initially banned Dillashaw from returning to Team Alpha Male, Dillashaw indicated that he wanted to try and maintain a friendship with his former mentor. But as time has gone by, that sounds less likely than ever.
“This is just kind of crossing the line, just to be able to put himself into the media’s eyes, to put me and Dominick Cruz on blast, and to really kind of look like a fool,” said Dillashaw.
“I never would have seen Urijah act like this kind of character. I’ve always seen him as an easygoing, cool dude. He’s acting like a 14-year-old high school girl wanting to create drama.”
Dillashaw is slated to face Raphael Assuncao at UFC 200 on July 9, while Faber ….View full article
