Tony Ferguson is rocketing up the lightweight ranks. He’s just come off the biggest win of his career, defeating former champ Rafael dos Anjos in Saturday night’s main event. The victory marks his ninth consecutive win in the lightweight division, a UFC record.
By all rights, he should be the next in line for a shot at the belt. He should be watching next Saturday’s UFC 205 with bated breath. After all, current lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is putting the belt on the line against featherweight titleholder Conor McGregor in the main event.
But Ferguson says he doesn’t really care what happens in that fight… he’s got better things to do than watch Alvarez and McGregor throw down.
