A pair of tournament reserve bouts have been finalized for World Series of Fighting 25, as LaRue Burley will take on Joe Condon and Benny Madrid will meet Ramil Mustapaev on Nov. 20 for a chance to sneak into WSOF’s eight-man, one-night lightweight tournament as an injury replacement. WSOF announced the fights on Tuesday.
Similar to Bellator’s recent one-night tourney, if a winning fighter is ruled medically unfit to advance into the next round of the WSOF bracket, the loser of his bout will advance instead. If neither fighters are able to be medically cleared, then one of the tournament reserve fighters would take their place.
“Our tournament lineup is officially complete with the addition of these match-ups,” WSOF president Ray Sefo said in a statement. “We are looking forward to having the four talented fighters selected for these two important fights, compete on this historic card and be prepared to enter the single-elimination contest if necessary.”
