Tonight’s episode is titled “Let it Loose.”
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to FOX Sports 1 last night (Weds., Oct. 5, 2016) for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 24 combat sports reality show, coached by top Flyweight contenders and bitter rivals Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo.

From the jump, we get a preview of tonight’s bout, as No. 11-seed Matt Rizzo of Team Benavidez meets No. 6-seed Matt Schnell, in the center of the cage to for the right to move on in the tournament. Immediately, Schnel — who fights out of American Top Team (ATT) and is the current interim Legacy Fighting Championship title holder — reminds everyone why his nickname is “Danger,” warning everyone not to be surprised if he “collects another black belt.”
Interestingly enough, we cut to Rizzo — Ring of Combat champion — proudly reminding us that his jiu-jitsu skills are no joke, as he has finished seven bouts via rear-naked choke and proclaiming that the only way he’ll lose if he’s taken out in a body bag.
Back at the house, a few of the contestants are comparing all the belts that are on full display, giving praise to some while mocking others; like Tim Elliot’s Titan Fighting Championship’s strap, which draws comparisons to WCW’s Intercontinental title.
What’s wrong with that?
We get a close up of Schnell as he takes us back to his high school days where he competed in just about every sport and reveals he only got into fighting as a means to stay in shape. He also reveals that he’s a two-time Golden Gloves champion, so he can tie you up in a pretzel and put you to sleep, too.
