Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Chris Weidman has been imploring mixed martial arts (MMA) fans everywhere to “join the team” ever since his resounding upset knockout of previous 185-pound titleholder and legend Anderson Silva in July 2013.
“The All-American” went on to defeat other notable Brazilians and former UFC champions like Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort over the last two years, but it’s his crushing victory over “The Spider” that will long be remembered for years to come.
Before Weidman takes to the Octagon to face No. 1-ranked middleweight Luke Rockhold at the UFC 194 pay-per-view (PPV) on Sat., Dec. 12, 2015, catch a glimpse of the former’s blistering knockout of Silva way back at UFC 162.
