Ultimate Fighting Championship officials on Tuesday confirmed the blockbuster UFC 197 fight card for March 5 in Las Vegas.
Featherweight champion Conor McGregor will look to make history when he moves up to challenge lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos for the 155-pound title, the first time in history that the UFC has allowed a fighter to attempt to gain two championships in two different weight division simultaneously.

In addition to the champion vs. champion headliner, women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm puts her title on the line for the first time when she faces No. 2 ranked Miesha Tate in the co-main event.
Holm won the title with a head-kick knockout of previously undefeated Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. It was initially planned for her to have to wait until summer and face Rousey in an immediate rematch, but Holm didn’t want to sit on the sidelines. The UFC finally relented and made the match with Tate.
UFC 197: dos Anjos vs. McGregor will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and airs live on pay-per-view on Saturday, March 5.
UFC will host a press conference on Wednesday, Jan. 20 in Las Vegas with all four athletes, plus UFC President Dana White, to launch the event.
