Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently updated its official fighter rankings to reflect the results of its UFC 197 pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Sat. night (April 23, 2016) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Full results and play-by-play here.

Edson Barboza jumped up to the No. 6 ranked Lightweight fighter in the world after he picked apart Anthony Pettis with his precise and powerful striking (see the carnage here). As for “Showtime,” his third straight loss was more than enough to drop him down four spots to the No. 7 spot at 155-pounds.

Meanwhile, upcoming contender Yair Rodriguez found himself in the rankings for the first time, earning the No. 14 spot at featherweight for his knockout win over Andre Fili (see it again here).

And despite his dominant first-round knockout over Henry Cejudo (see it), Demetrious Johnson was not able to overtake Jon Jones — who was also successful in “Sin City” — for the No. 1 spot on the pound-for-pound list.

That’s not all.
