By now, Dominick Cruz is probably immune to the many verbal attacks Urijah Faber has dished his way over the years. After all, the two have one of them most bitter rivalries in all of mixed martial arts (MMA) that spans nearly a decade; therefore, there isn’t anything “California Kid” can say to rattle “Dominator” at this point.
However, Cruz was surprised to hear Faber slam his own former training partner and friend, T.J. Dillashaw, after Faber insinuated during a recent interview that Dillashaw was dabbling in performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). As Cruz revealed on “The MMA Hour” (via MMA Fighting) even if you have beef, you don’t slam your ex-friends.
By doing so, you’re proving that your far from a professional and loyal.
“This is the thing, you can say whatever you need to say about me. I understand, all is fair in love and war. Like, I get that he is going to come and attack me. I get that he wants to attack my character. He’s been doing this to me since 2007. This is the Faber game. He wants to turn everybody against you and make himself the good guy. He can’t handle being the not liked guy. But, at the same time, this is all based off of fear. Judgment is the main act of fear. If I’m on [PEDs], what, is everybody on it? Everybody he’s lost to? This is his excuse. He’s setting up excuses for the loss that I’m about to serve him. Faber is showing his true colors. He has no professionalism. No loyalty.
