Through a combination of improvement and sheer will, Tate managed to upset Holly Holm and finally captured the title. Opposite Nunes, Tate will look to solidify her grip on the belt by outlasting a tough finisher.
Meanwhile, Nunes has finished her last three opponents and appears to be quite the physical force at 135 pounds. “The Lioness” capitalized on some quality wins and good timing to earn this shot, and now she’ll look to make the most of it.
