Per an announcement made by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) earlier today (Fri., Feb. 24, 2017), UFC 214 from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., has be moved from Aug. 5 to July 29. The Anaheim card was originally scheduled to take place back on Jan. 21, but that was shifted to accommodate a pay-per-view (PPV) event in Brooklyn, New York, which was UFC 208.
While no fights have been scheduled for UFC 214 just yet, the event will mark the promotion’s return to Anaheim after hosting UFC 157 from inside the same venue back in 2013. UFC 157 showcased the first ever women’s bantamweight championship fight, with Ronda Rousey submitting Liz Carmouche to retain the UFC title.
UFC 214 will now join a busy July schedule for the promotion, which hosts its biggest shows during International Fight Week in the beginning weeks of the month.
