After walking out to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, John Moraga put on a spectacular performance by dusting Magomed Bibulatov in the first round with a cracking left hook. Brad Tavares put on a striking clinic from bell to bell against longtime veteran Thales Leites. Walt Harris was supposed to face Mark Godbeer on UFC Fight Pass, but after Derrick Lewis withdrew from his bout with Fabricio Werdum, “The Big Ticket” stepped up to face the UFC’s former heavyweight champion on the PPV card.

John Moraga def. Magomed Bibulatov by KO at 1:38 of round 1: Flyweight

Moraga made short work of Magomed Bibulatov with a solid overhand right, followed by a night ending left hook. Bibulatov flew backwards, crashing to the canvas, and the referee was quick to step in and rescue the downed fighter.

Brad Tavares def. Thales Leites by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-26 x2):

Leites and Tavares were content to stand and trade right in front of one another, until Tavares cracked with a left hook, prompting a clinch from Leites. Leites was able to stifle his foe up against the fence, but the position was broken up by the referee a few times. Leites was busted up by the midpoint of the second round, as Tavares was able to pop off without much consequence. Leites engaged into the clinch some more, and even tried to pull guard. Leites continued to press forward looking to strike, but Tavares continued batter the less polished Leites with counter punches and brutal leg kicks. Leites had a few desperation takedown in him, but Tavares effortless shucked each of them away. Tavares finished up with some heavy ground and pound to put an exclamation point on the fight.
