Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 218.
UFC 218 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Detroit, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card. And the middle.
The episode begins with Francis Ngannou and Michelle Waterson doing a radio interview together, comparing hand sizes. Waterson does an impression of her “hardcore Asian mom” which is hilarious. Ngannou then does a little sightseeing afterward.
Max Holloway talks about not caring who his opponent was, and how it’s important to stay humble. After all, he has a personal cook now. Then he goes fowling. No, that’s not a typo. It’s bowling with a football.
Alistair Overeem and Eddie Alvarez arrive in Detroit, as does Jose Aldo. Aldo says Dana White first put the UFC featherweight title around his waist in Detroit. I don’t remember that at all.
They show Henry Cejudo and Cortney Casey at the UFC production offices, with Casey talking about where all her weight comes from (her butt). Cejudo’s opponent Sergio Pettis comes in, and they’re cordial. Felice Herrig likes her new Reebok gear. Tecia Torres and Raquel Pennington make a quick appearance. Now Justin Gaethje is checking his weight. Paul Felder smells his new gloves.
Wow, that was a lot of fighters in a couple of minutes. And that’s it!
UFC 218 goes down this weekend in Detroit.
