Just two weeks after it was announced UFC superstar Conor McGregor had signed a new eight fight deal with the UFC, it was revealed Thursday that the Irishman has signed a one-year deal with Monster Energy supposedly worth ‘millions.’
ESPN’s Ariel Helwani first reported the news. Per Monster Energy rep Hans Molenkamp, the lucrative deal will apparently put McGregor in the same bracket as other successful sporting stars such as golfer Tiger Woods and racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
Conor McGregor has just signed a new one year-deal with Monster Energy, Monster rep @HansMolenkamp told @espn. Molenkamp said the deal is worth millions and puts McGregor in the same category as other Monster athletes like Tiger Woods, Rob Gronkowski and Lewis Hamilton.

McGregor also told Helwani on Monday that he had signed a new multi-year deal with Reebok after his old deal expired with the company last year. When asked if the Irishman’s deal was worth five million dollars, McGregor’s manager Audie Attar said “and then some.”
In addition to the multi-fight deal McGregor signed with the UFC in late September, the promotion will also use McGregor’s new whiskey ‘Proper Twelve’ as a sponsor for every UFC event he fights on. The logo for the Irishman’s whiskey will first be printed on the canvas of the Octagon this weekend for his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The Monster deal and his own whiskey line are not the only ventures McGregor has announced, as he also recently revealed he will be releasing his own line of custom-made suits alongside tailor David August.
McGregor (21-3) will return to the Octagon after a two-year layoff in an attempt to try and regain the belt he once held, as he faces current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov this Saturday, October 6th, at UFC 229 in Las Vegas.
