UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic 2 fight card and bout order

35 0

Hey, now this is a card! UFC 241 takes place in Anaheim, California on August 17th and has a heavyweight title rematch between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic. Cormier KO’d Miocic last year to become a simultaneous two-division champion, and Stipe hasn’t fought since then. Now he’ll get an immediate-ish rematch to try and regain what was once his.

The co-main event pits Nate Diaz against Anthony Pettis in a welterweight bout, with Diaz finally returning to action for the first time since his epic loss to Conor McGregor three years ago. Speaking of “finally,” the third time better be the charm for middleweights Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa to finally square off inside the Octagon. Rounding out the main card is an intriguing bantamweight battle between Gabriel Benitez and Sodiq Yusuff, while rising middleweight Ian Heinisch faces veteran Derek Brunson. I didn’t even mention Raphael Assuncao vs. Cory Sandhagen, which is on the prelims!
