We have reached our first UFC fight week of 2020, and it’s for a big pay-per-view. UFC 246 features the return of Conor McGregor, as the former two-division champion looks for his first win since 2016. Standing opposite McGregor this Saturday night will be fan favorite Donald Cerrone, who’s looking to snap a two-fight losing skid and notch the biggest win of his career in his first ever UFC PPV main event. These two lightweights are competing at welterweight, but a McGregor win nets him a lightweight title shot.
As always, the Countdown series is here to preview the main event in-depth. Most of Countdown to UFC 246 is focused on Conor vs. Cerrone (duh), but the other fight getting preview time is Anthony Pettis vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira, which isn’t even the co-main event but still very much a compelling matchup that means quite a bit to both men.
You can watch Countdown to UFC 246 at the top of the page.
