It what was billed as a potential “Fight of the Year” contender, the Diego Sanchez vs Joe Lauzon Lightweight fight at UFC 200 was anything but.
That’s because Lauzon got in, took care of business and got out as fast as possible, taking out one of the most exciting and entertaining fighters in the history of the sport in just under 90 seconds via technical knockout.
The win earned “J-Lau” yet another $50,000 bonus.
Lauzon will look to get back on the winning track when he faces Marcin Held — who was last seen losing to the aforementioned Sanchez — at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 103 event, which is set to go down inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday January, 15, 2017.
