Someone’s “0” had to go in the second fight of the main card at UFC Fight Night 76 between Nicolas Darby and Darren TIll. But when all was said and done they both remained undefeated.
Till and Darby fought to a majority draw inside the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday afternoon (October 24, 2015) in a surefire “Fight of the Night” candidate.
Till looked to be ahead on the scorecards heading into the third round, but started to run out of steam late in the fight as Dalby came roaring back with a courageous effort. One judge had it 29-28 for Till, while the other two scored it 28-28 for the majority draw.
Till started out strong and landed several significant left hands and knee strikes inside the clinch on Dalby and showcased excellent used of distance and accuracy. Dalby wasn’t able to mount any offense on the 22-year-old from Liverpool and with seconds remaining in the round, Till dropped Dalby with a short uppercut as he rushed in on him.
However, he wasn’t able to finish Dalby off before the round’s conclusion.
