UFC Fight Night 88 predictions: Vegas Fight Pass Prelims undercard preview, Pt. 1

More fights are coming to Fight Pass and FOX Sports 1 this weekend (Sun., May 29, 2016) when UFC Fight Night 88: “Almeida vs. Garbrandt” kicks off from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. MMAmania.com’s Patrick Stumberg kicks off the UFC Fight Night 88 “Prelims” party with the first installment of a two-part undercard preview series.

Two of the most destructive Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight up-and-comers do battle this Sunday evening (May 29, 2016) when Thomas Almeida pits his Muay Thai stylings against Cody Garbrant’s vicious power punches in the main event of UFC Fight Night 88.

In addition, the FOX Sports 1-televised co-main event, which will take place inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, will see former Bantamweight champion Renan Barao make his first Featherweight appearance against Jeremy Stephens, while Jorge Masvidal battles Lorenz Larkin up at Welterweight.

UFC Fight Night 88 will feature just six “Prelims” undercard matches this time around, with four airing live on FOX Sports 1 and the first two streaming online via Fight Pass beforehand. Let’s start with the Internet line up:

He will give up two inches of height to the 5’9″ Bryan Caraway (20-7).

Caraway — formerly of Team Alpha Male — came up short in his stiffest test to date against Raphael Assuncao two Octobers ago. In his sole 2015 appearance, however, he upset Eddie Wineland in one of his best Octagon performances to date.

Seventeen of his 20 wins have come by submission.
