Johnson (16-10) was on the cusp of a division title shot, but came up short in a close fight against Beneil Dariush in late 2015. Not long after that, “The Menace” was knocked around by Nate Diaz at UFC on FOX 17. Poirier (20-4), meanwhile, is reborn at 155 pounds, racking up four straight wins since departing the featherweight class a little more than a year ago.
Great fight … who ya’ got?
UFC Fight Night 94 will also feature the middleweight showdown between Uriah Hall and Derek Brunson, while Evan Dunham and Abel Trujillo bang it out for lightweight bragging rights.
Stay tuned for more upcoming match ups in the coming days.
