UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Lobov previews, predictions, coverage, more

Check out Bloody Elbow’s pre-fight coverage for the Saturday, April 22nd UFC Fight Night event in Nashville, Tennessee, headlined by featherweights Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov.

The UFC’s last event this month is an FS1 show in Nashville, Tennessee. Yes, Artem Lobov is in the main event. Yes, it’s extremely ridiculous that the UFC wasted a five-round slot on an unranked journeyman. Yes, Cub Swanson is extremely awesome to watch, so at least we get to see him fight.

Swanson vs. Lobov aside, this is a really good event. Al Iaquinta is back, and he’s got Diego Sanchez in the co-main. John Dodson vs. Eddie Wineland is my personal favorite matchup on the card. You can’t go wrong with a Joe Lauzon fight, as he battles Scotland’s Stevie Ray. Welterweight KO specialist Mike Perry opens the main card against Jake Ellenberger.

Here’s next Saturday’s fight card at the Bridgestone Arena, with prelims televised on FS2 instead of FS1:
