There was one relevant bout at UFC Shanghai, but it did quite a number on the 185-pound rankings.

The UFC’s first event in mainland China was meant to showcase local talent more than offer relevant fights outside of the headliner, and it did exactly that. Unfortunately none of that had any impact on the rankings at all. In fact, not a single division saw any movement other than one, which was shook up by the main event KO win Kelvin Gastelum pulled off over former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.

Here’s a look at the short and sweet rankings update this week.

P4P – No changes.

Heavyweight – No changes.

Light Heavyweight – No changes.

Middleweight – Gastelum’s big win sent Bisping crashing five spots from two to seven. This allowed Yoel Romero, Luke Rockhold, Jacare Souza, and Chris Weidman to all move up one spot from two to five respectively. Gastelum’s win moved him up three spots from nine to six. Derek Brunson dropped one spot to eight, which Anderson Silva is down one to nine.

Welterweight – No changes.

Lightweight – No changes.

Featherweight – No changes.

Bantamweight – No changes.
