Better late than never?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) finally picked up the phone to call Mark Hunt, who wanted to know he wasn’t purposely being fed to a “juiced” Brock Lesnar at UFC 200. Not that it had much choice, since the “Super Samoan” was ripping his boss a new asshole every chance he got.

Get close to the fire here.

But even though UFC President Dana White loves Hunt — NO SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS HE LOVES EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM — the shortest straw had been pulled for UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky.

From ESPN.com:

Novitzky had “a lengthy conversation with Hunt” on Monday and that dialogue was “positive.”

According to the official, the conversation was to “address Hunt’s concerns with Lesnar’s potential anti-doping violation, as well as the results management process related to the case.”

In response to Hunt’s concerns regarding the time frame in which the UFC knew of Lesnar’s potential violation, the official adamantly denied any knowledge prior to July 9.

C’mon guys, UFC would never lie.

Hunt was understandably upset after dropping a unanimous decision to Lesnar, who got zapped by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for taking anti-estrogen substances. Probably because it’s the second straight fight in which the “Super Samoan’s” opponent could not pass a drug test.

Third time’s the charm?
